DESIGN OF GPS-BASED ATTENDANCE APPLICATION AND SELFI PHOTO USING LARAVEL FRAMEWORK CASE STUDY RIC (RIAU INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE)

Abstract

At RIC Pekanbaru, there are several fields, one of which is Finance & General. One of the tasks managed by the
Finance & General section is attendance. The attendance process at RIC Pekanbaru is carried out conventionally
where employees working at RIC Pekanbaru must sign the absence column available in the Finance & General
section. For monthly attendance data recording, it is done at the end of each month which is inputted by the
operator of the finance section in Microsoft Excel. The system development method used is waterfall. At this stage,
needs analysis, system design, coding using the Laravel programming language and MySQL database will be
carried out, program testing will be carried out, namely the black box, and finally program implementation. The
conclusion obtained is that the application for the attendance data recap process previously only used the way of
signing absences managed by the admin then the admin will input the absence data in Microsoft Excel and recap
the employee. This application has two parts, namely admin and employees. Absenteeism application at RIC can
input employee data and absences which will produce regular attendance and payroll recaps (per day, month and
year).
