Gambaran Stigma terhadap Orang yang Hidup dengan HIV AIDS pada Tenaga Kesehatan di Kota Balikpapan Kalimantan Timur

Abstrak

Stigma negatif terhadap ODHA yang dimiliki tenaga kesehatan membuat orang enggan melakukan tes HIV karena takut akan hasil yang positif dan kekhawatiran akan mendapat layanan yang diskriminatif di layanan kesehatan primer. Stigma terhadap ODHA terjadi karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang cara kerja yang aman dalam menangani HIV/AIDS, sikap homophobia, dan religiusitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan stigma dan determinannya pada tenaga Kesehatan di kota Balikpapan. Desain studi adalah cross sectional. Populasi adalah tenaga kesehatan yang bertugas di pelayanan kesehatan primer di kota Balikpapan meliputi dokter umum, perawat, bidan, apoteker dan petugas laboratorium. Populasi sejumlah 4284 orang tersebar di 27 Puskesmas di Balikpapan. Jenis sampling adalah quota sampling, dihitung dengan rumus  Lemeshow didapatkan besar sampel 423. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengukur stigma yaitu Health Care Providers HIV/AIDS Stigma Scale (HPASS). Data dianalisa menggunakan uji bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tenaga kesehatan masih memiliki stigma terhadap ODHA (53%). Individu dengan stigma tinggi terbesar terdapat pada individu yang tidak pernah memperoleh pelatihan HIV (59,7%). Analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara stigma dengan pelatihan HIV(pvalue =0,026 ). Diperlukan pelatihan mengenai penanganan dan pendampingan penderita HIV/AIDS secara berkala, untuk mengendalikan stigma petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas.
