Hubungan Pemeliharaan Anjing dengan Risiko Gigitan Hewan Penular Rabies di Sajingan dan Entikong (Wilayah perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia)

Rabies masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat di wilayah perbatasan Indonesia–Malaysia, khususnya di Kalimantan Barat. Pada awal 2025 tercatat 16 kasus gigitan hewan penular rabies (GHPR) di Kabupaten Sambas, sementara Kabupaten Sanggau juga terus melaporkan angka yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Januari–Maret 2024 untuk menganalisis faktor pemeliharaan anjing yang berpengaruh terhadap GHPR. Desain penelitian adalah potong lintang dengan 348 rumah tangga pemilik anjing yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dan observasi lapangan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan regresi logistik multivariat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan hewan lain, interaksi dengan anjing liar, dan pemberian makan tidak teratur berhubungan signifikan dengan GHPR. Faktor yang paling dominan adalah interaksi dengan anjing liar (OR=4,690). Ketika ketiga faktor tersebut terjadi bersamaan, Probabilitas Perdiksi GHPR mencapai 98,5%. Pencegahan rabies perlu memprioritaskan pengurangan kontak antara anjing peliharaan dan anjing liar, disertai pemberian pakan teratur, vaksinasi, dan pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin.
