Pengaruh Health Coaching terhadap Peningkatan Perilaku Pencegahan Tuberkulosis di Kabupaten Tegal

Abstrak

Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit infeksi nomor satu yang menyebabkan kematian tertinggi di dunia. Prevalensi penyakit tuberkulosis terbanyak berada di wilayah Asia dan Afrika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari health coaching terhadap perilaku pencegahan tuberkulosis dari pasien yang terdiagnosa tuberkulosis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasy Experiment pre-post test with control grup pada 68 responden yang terdiri dari kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Tahapan metode penelitian ini dimulai dari uji validitas dan realiabilitas kuesioner penelitian. Selanjutnya, kelompok intervensi akan diberikan health coaching sebagai salah satu strategi promosi kesehatan dalam keperawatan yang terbagi menjadi 4 sesi. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji univariat untuk mendeskripsikan variabel penelitian. Selain itu juga dilakukan uji bivariat yang terdiri dari independen t-test  dan  pair t-test. Hasil independent t test menunjukkan rerata perilaku post intevention pencegahan tuberkulosis pada kelompok perlakuan lebih tinggi 8,88 dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Adanya pengaruh health coaching menunjukkan pengaruh yang bermakna untuk meningkatkan perilaku pencegahan tuberkulosis sesuai dari hasil pair t test dengan p value 0,000. Proses health coaching yang diberikan pada pasien tuberkulosis meliputi perilaku pencegahan secara fisik dan peningkatan daya tahan tubuh dengan menggunakan manajemen stress karena proses penerimaan pasien dalam menerima perubahan kondisi fisiknya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa health coaching dapat meningkatkan perilaku pencegahan tuberkulosis secara bermakna pada pasien tuberkulosis yang sedang mengalami pengobatan.
